Family Dance Mania

Bring the whole family for an evening of dancing and fun!   Kim Boardman will lead the evening including instruction in group/line dances in a variety of styles as well as some other activities designed to keep you moving and smiling, including a limbo and hula hoop contest.  Pre-registration required.  Children must be accompanied by an adult.

 

Red Cross Babysitting

Red Cross-trained babysitters are prepared to handle almost anything – and are in high demand!  Learn 
accident prevention, diapering, feeding and emergency first aid. You’ll learn to interact with children through
appropriate games, toys and activities as well as how to prepare for your job as a babysitter. Earn trust from 
parents and increase your demand and income from babysitting!  Earn an American Red Cross Babysitter’s 
Training Certificate (must attend both classes).

 

 


Red Cross “On Our Own” Class

This class will reduce your worry when the kids are home alone. 
Lead by Certified Red Cross instructor, kids will learn simple rules and procedures 
to ensure maximum safety when home alone.  Includes activity booklet, film viewing 
& handouts.  Includes a Red Cross certification of completion.


Acting Up/Speaking Out

This class is designed to teach the fine art of acting and develop the skills necessary to succeed as an actor.
The students will learn how to overcome their shyness when speaking in front of a group of people, how to
develop a character, and how to improvise through many situations. The students will give a performance 
for family/friends at the end of the session.  Individual consideration will be given to younger students with 
previous experience.



Junior "Princess" Drawing Class

Everybody loves to play dress-up! In this class we will learn to draw ourselves in 
"glamour" wear. We will draw faces with crowns/hats, accessories including purses/jewelry, 
and figures wearing fancy gowns.  Pencils, color pencils, markers and Sharpies, will be used. 
No prior art class experience necessary. All materials are provided.

   

 


Junior "Zoo" Drawing Class

Kids love to draw animals! Join us as we learn to draw a variety of animals found at our local zoo. 
We will draw giraffes, zebras, lions, tigers, birds and more. Our final day will result in one large 
scene of the zoo, divided into several habitats and incorporating the many animal friends we have 
learned to draw. Pencils, markers, Sharpies and color pencils will be used. No prior art class 
experience necessary. All materials are provided.
