Purpose of the CPA ?
The purpose of the CPA program is designed to establish rapport and increase the understanding between the citizens of Miami Township and their police. In addition, you will learn about the management of township government and the operations of the Fire/EMS department.

By the end of each session, the CPA program has served its dual purpose of establishing rapport and increasing understanding between the citizens and the police officers that serve them. Each begins to view the other as a partner rather than an adversary. The community, as a whole, reaps the benefit of this partnership. Citizens Police Academy graduates tend to become more involved with community activities, particularly where law enforcement issues are concerned and officers take a more professional interest in problems that affect the community.
