The Board of Trustees of Miami Township, Clermont County, Ohio met in regular session at the Miami Township Civic Building on February 21, 2006 with the following members present: Edwin H. Humphrey, Ken Tracy and Mary Makley Wolff.
MRS. WOLFF made a motion to adopt the following Resolution:
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TOWNSHIP ADMINISTRATOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACTS FOR THE PROCUREMENT OF ENTERTAINMENT FOR A CONCERT AT MIAMI MEADOWS PARK, DISPENSING WITH THE SECOND READING
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of Miami Township ("the Board") have authorized the Township Administrator to schedule a concert at the Miami Meadows Park; and
WHEREAS, the Board finds and declares that it is in the best interest of Miami Township and the residents of Miami Township to hold a free concert at the Miami Meadows Park on Friday, July 7, 2006 and Saturday, July 8, 2006; and
WHEREAS, the Board is authorized by its limited home rule powers to exercise all powers of local self-government which are not prohibited by State statute and not inconsistent with State statutes; and
WHERAS, it is necessary for the township to enter into contracts with
performing artists for entertainment associated with the concert.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Trustees of Miami Township, Clermont County, Ohio by authority of Chapter 504 of the Ohio Revised Code, as follows:
SECTION 1: That the Board authorizes the expenditure of funds in the amount of $40,000 for national entertainment associated with a free concert at the Miami Meadows Park on July 7, 2006 and July 8, 2006.
SECTION 2: That the Board authorizes the Township Administrator to enter into contracts with performing artists for entertainment associated with the concert with the appropriate review by the Law Director and Certification by the Township Clerk.
SECTION 3: That this Board of Trustees hereby finds and determines that all
formal actions relative to the passage of this Resolution were taken in an open
meeting of this Board, and that all deliberations of this Board and of its
Committees, if any, which resulted in formal action, were taken in meetings open
to the public, in full compliance with applicable legal requirements, including
Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
SECTION 4: This Resolution shall take effect at the earliest period allowed by law.

Effective: March 23, 2006
MR. TRACY seconded the motion to adopt the Resolution. On the roll call being
called the vote resulted as follows:
