RESOLUTION 2004 - 07

The Board of Trustees of Miami Township, Clermont County, Ohio met in regular session at the Miami Township Civic Building on April 6, 2004 with the following members present: Edwin H. Humphrey, Joseph W. Uecker and Mary Makley Wolff.

MR. UECKER made a motion to adopt the following Resolution:

RESOLUTION REQUESTING SPEED LIMIT CHANGE ON CEDAR DRIVE, DISPENSING WITH THE SECOND READING

WHEREAS, numerous residents and interested citizens have voiced their concern as to the speed limit on Cedar Drive (T-327) beginning at the Loveland Corporation and ending at a dead end, in Miami Township, a total length of .58 miles or 3,062.4 feet; and

WHEREAS, this Board of Trustees ("Board") believes that for the general public welfare and safety of the traveling public, the speed limit on the above mentioned road should be changed.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Trustees of Miami Township, Clermont County, Ohio by authority of Chapter 4511.21 of the Ohio Revised Code, as follows:

SECTION 1: That the State of Ohio, Director of Transportation is hereby requested to change the speed limit on Cedar Drive.

SECTION 2: That Miami Township agrees, in the event the speed limit is changed on Cedar Drive, to erect and maintain appropriate signs and markings.

SECTION 3: The Board does hereby dispense with the requirement that this Resolution be read on two separate days, pursuant to Section 504.10 of the Ohio Revised Code, and authorizes the adoption of this Resolution upon its first reading.

SECTION 4: That this Board hereby finds and determines that all formal actions relative to the passage of this Resolution were taken in an open meeting of this Board, and that all deliberations of this Board and of its Committees, if any, which resulted in formal action, were taken in meetings open to the public, in full compliance with applicable legal requirements, including Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.

SECTION 5: This Resolution shall take effect at the earliest period allowed by law.

Second Reading: Dispensed with
Effective: April 16, 2004

MRS. WOLFF seconded the motion to adopt the Resolution. On the roll call being called the vote resulted as follows:
