The Town Center District will serve as “downtown Miami Township”
with a mixture of office, retail, dining, entertainment, housing and
public spaces for community events and passive recreation. A street
grid pattern ties into several existing roadways and helps form a town
square. Parking is located on-street and in surface lots in the
interiors of the commercial blocks. The Town Center will offer
pedestrian scale amenities, so that automobile trips between various
uses within the town center won’t be necessary. A public transit
link to the region is also proposed.

The mix of land uses will be vertical as well as horizontal. Uses in
the buildings will include first floor retail, dining, and
entertainment with upper floor office and residential. As blocks
radiate out from the town square uses should become less intense, with
a higher ratio of office and housing.
